Pwnage Pick of the Day 3/29

PPOTD Record: 5-2
Last PPOTD: New York Knicks (Win)
St. Louis Blues (48-29, 105 Points) at Chicago Blackhawks (42-35, 93 Points)
Hockey PPOTD Record: 2-1
The Chicago Blackhawks have lost the last two games, but before that they had won 9 of their last 11 games. They are 12-4 in their last 16 home games. Overall, they are 26-11 at home this year. In their last game, they lost 2-1 in a shootout to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday Night. Their last home game was a 6-1 loss versus Nashville Predators on Sunday Night.
The Blackhawks have been getting a few players back from injury, but they are still down a few men. Centerman Jonathon Toews is out for the Blackhawks. The hawks are 9-7 since he got injured, he has 57 points on the year. Ray Emery is coming back from an injury and might even play tonight. Steve Mantador just returned from the IR.
The St. Louis Blues are 3-4 in their last 7 games. At home they are 2-4 in their last 6 road games. Overall, they are 18-21 on the road. Their last game was a 3-0 victory over Nashville on Tuesday Night. Their last road game was a 4-0 win over the Coyotes. Based on those two last games, you would think the Blues would have an easy victory coming, but that was with Brian Elliot as the goalie, but instead of Elliot, Jaroslav Halak will be the goalie tonight for the Blues. Halak has allowed 8 goals in his last 3 games.
Defenseman Roman Polak will be out for the Blues tonight. He has 11 points on the year, and his team is 2-2 since he is out.
If Elliot was the goalie tonight, I would change my pick, but with Halak struggling lately and the Blues bad road record, plus the return of solid contributors for the Blackhawks will cement the Blackhawks as the winners tonight in an upset.
Pick: Chicago Blackhawks
Confidence: W5 or less
